Things to do on Anguilla
What initially drew me to Anguilla was the beaches. Anguilla has 33 blinding white sand beaches to sink your toes into. Exploring that number of beaches can take you days and days and days, even weeks! Some of the best beaches are well off the beaten path and not easy to find, but well worth the effort.
Others are happy to sit at the better known beaches like Shoal Bay East or Rendezvous Bay or Mead's Bay soaking in the rays.
Others need more entertainment. Don't think that Anguilla is only beaches. Even though it's what made the island famous it's only part of what the island has to offer. There are many activities for those who need diversions other than the beach.
Start with horseback riding. There is the Cliffside Riding Center located in the North Hill village. They are open 7 days a week from 9A till dusk and offer sunset rides. Rent a mountain bike and explore Anguilla. Anguilla has what would be considered challenging climbs if you're riding a bike and it would be a great way to really see the island close up. There are several public tennis courts located on the island. Some of the resorts and exclusive villas have tennis courts. There is hiking and putt-putt golf. Now the Temenos Golf Course has opened. Visit the Pyrat Rum factory, take a tour and enjoy tasting their rums. Visit the local history museum on South Hill. Stop into the dive shop on Shoal Bay East and arrange a dive. Take a boat to Little Bay to do some snorkeling. Charter a fishing boat to do some fishing.
There are just a very few suggestions. You will only run out of things to do if you stop looking!!
