Allamanda Beach Club Shoal Bay East

One of the things I love about Anguilla, and the thing that drew me to it is it's peace and quiet. Depending on what time of year you travel there you really can stroll a beach and see very few, or no people at all.

So many people just don't understand. They say that you have to cruise, go on a cruise you'll love it, and I say "no". I have no desire to vacation with 2,000+ other people. When I worked I was with people all day in a very hectic and stressful job. When I was on vacation I wanted to have time to think and recharge.

The second time I traveled to Anguilla I stayed at The Allamanda on Shoal Bay East. It's located at the quiet end of Shoal Bay. Uncle Ernie's is probably a 7 or 10 minute stroll, depending on how fast you walk. Until Serenity Apts was built andGwen's opened there was really no one at that end of Shoal Bay East.
I was there in September, VERY off season. I had fantastic weather and the beach to myself for 3 full days. NO ONE in site at all except a few locals.

The Allamanda room I had was a poolside studio. It was very nice and had everything that I needed. When I was picked up at the airport (taxi arranged by Allamanda) the driver took me to the supermarket where I stocked up on food. I had planned to stay on the beach at Allamanda for three full days before getting a jeep and starting my exploring. That way I was sure to relax, and I did.
