Beaches on Anguilla

Beaches are the one thing Anguilla has plenty of. From Shoal Bay East where all the "action" is, to Rendezvous Bay, the home of the Cuisinart Resort and the Anguilla Great House to the very small Elsie Bay, there is a beach on Anguilla that will suit you perfectly. All you'll need to find the perfect beach is a map, a jeep, and a sense of adventure.

For me the deserted beaches are best, and there are plenty of them. It isn't like any beach on Anguilla gets "crowded", but if I can find a beach and have it all to myself I like it best.

I like Forest Bay Beach. The very popular Straw Hat Restaurant is located on Forest Bay. The Boat House rental villa is located directly on the beach on Forest Bay. I remember the first time I found Elise Bay. I was amazed how red the sand is. It may be the only red sand beach on the entire island. It's small and very private. Captains Bay is located on the north shore and tends to be very rough. It's a long ride down a winding dirt road, a very long ride. The Exclusivity Villa sits overlooking Captains Bay. Another deserted bay is West End Bay. I found it when I was staying at Cove Castles many years back. Savannah Bay and Junks Hole is another great deserted beach. Don't miss Nat Richardson's restaurant The Palm Grove on Junks Hole Beach.
