Anguilla Nightlife

There is nightlife on Anguilla if you know where to look. Although what I love about Anguilla is it's quiet charm there are plenty of places to "mash it up" when the mood strikes!

Johnno's on Sandy Ground is a famous place for local music on Fridays and jazz on Sunday afternoons. Also in Sandy Ground is the Pumphouse which has live music Friday & Saturday nights. These are great places to meet and hang with locals. You may also happen upon music at Ripple's Restaurant.

Scilly Cay has local musician Sproka playing for lunch on Wednesdays and Happy Hits on Sunday.

Shoal Bay East comes alive on Sunday afternoons. Don't forget Bankie Bank's place The Dune where you may hear Bankie himself play.

The large restorts, Cuisinart, Malliouhana and Cap Juluca all have various musical entertainment. It's best to call to see who's playing.

I remember one quiet afternoon at Smokey's on Cove Bay when The Mussington's showed up to play. There were probably only a dozen or so of us in the place.

Remember, you may find that during the "off season" there will not be as much nightlife as during prime time at the resorts, but you'll still find plenty of local nightlife where Anguillian's hang.
